This Privacy Policy describes the personal information EthioTopUp collects, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.
What we collect
- Account information — your name, email address and (optionally) your phone number when you create an account.
- Order information — the recipient phone number and name you enter for each order, the package you select, and the payment method and transaction reference you submit.
- Payment evidence — if you upload a screenshot of your payment, we store it so our agents can verify the transfer.
- Technical information — IP address, browser type and similar information collected automatically when you use the site, used to diagnose issues and protect the service from abuse.
How we use it
- To deliver the top-up you requested and email you the confirmation.
- To verify your payment and prevent fraud.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To improve the service (in aggregate, never to identify individual users).
Who we share it with
We share order details with the agents who fulfil your top-up — they see the recipient phone number, recipient name and the package they need to activate. They do not see your payment details, your email or your home address. We may also share information with the carriers when required to deliver a top-up.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to satisfy legal and accounting obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing support@ethiotopup.com.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email support@ethiotopup.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic, hash passwords with industry-standard algorithms, and limit access to personal information to the staff who need it to do their job.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site.
