Welcome to EthioTopUp. By creating an account or placing an order on this site you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully — if you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
EthioTopUp lets customers in the diaspora pay online for airtime, data and voice packages that are delivered to phone numbers on Ethiopian carriers (Ethio Telecom and Safaricom). Delivery is performed by our agents on your behalf using the carrier's own systems.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us (recipient phone number, recipient name, your contact email) and for keeping your account password confidential. We will email you a confirmation when your payment is verified and again when delivery is complete.
3. Payments and refunds
You pay using the methods listed in the checkout (e.g. Zelle, ACH, bank transfer). We verify your transaction reference by hand before activating the top-up. If we cannot verify your payment we will mark the order as "payment rejected" and you can re-submit a corrected reference.
If a top-up cannot be delivered because of an issue on our side (wrong carrier, package no longer offered, etc.) we will refund you in full to the original payment method. If the issue is on the recipient's side (wrong phone number, line disconnected) we will work with you in good faith but cannot guarantee a refund once the top-up has reached the carrier.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the service for fraudulent or illegal activity. Don't try to break, probe or overload our systems. We may suspend an account at any time if we believe it is being used in violation of these terms.
5. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, EthioTopUp is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
6. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
